"Gas Well Bonanza"

From the Arcadian: "Gaswell Bonanza" includes a separate program (at the top of 
the page) to give you a sort of title slide.  This game was inspired by an 
Esoterica's game [Wildcatter] no longer available."

As published in the "Arcadian," this game is known as "Gaswell Bonanza."

No instructions were included for this game, but Joe People's handwritten 
instructions for an unpublished Extended version of the game have been retyped 
and are included here:

"Gas Well Bonanza!" is for 2 to 4 Players

Use :INPUT;RUN to load game (Game must be reloaded from tape to play again).

Note:  When pulling trigger - make quick pull - don't hold trigger in.

Object of Game: You start with $500,000 and try to be first to get one million 
dollars.

Use knob #1 to set number of players [pull trigger]

     Pull trigger.  Use joystick to move flashing square to where you want to 
drill (there is a magic square that improves your odds by 10% if you find it, 
but it changes location on a random basis).

     Pull trigger and you will be offered a geological study.  Buy by pulling 
trigger or pass to property rights by moving joystick right.

     After studying geological study, pull trigger to get property rights.  
Start drilling by moving joystick to right.

     You can bail out of drilling by moving joystick to right at any time.
